- The Three Kings… also known as the Magi, or wise men, are central characters as we celebrate the solemnity of the Epiphany today. They are often portrayed in nativity scenes as representing different races: one black king, one brown, and one white. This is symbolic of the meaning of today’s feast: that Christ has come for all people. These three wise men followed the star, and found Jesus. May our searching in life lead us to Christ, and may we live the values that he taught us.
- The season of Christmas… lasts until Monday, January 8 this year, which is the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. This feast is not a day of obligation unless it occurs on a Sunday.
